At Drive Hurghada, we aim to provide clear and fair refund conditions for all guests. This Refund Policy explains when refunds apply and how they are handled.


1. General Refund Rules

Because Drive Hurghada operates as a pay-on-arrival service, no online payments or deposits are required for standard bookings.
Therefore:

In most cases, refunds do not apply because no prepayment is taken.

However, if a deposit or prepayment has been made (rare cases), the refund rules below apply.


2. Free Cancellation (100% Refund if Deposit Paid)

If a deposit has been taken, you can cancel your booking free of charge and receive a full refund if you cancel:

❗ Up to 8 hours before your scheduled pickup time.

Refund will be processed within 5–10 business days.


3. Late Cancellation Refunds

If you cancel less than 8 hours before pickup, and a deposit was taken, your refund depends on timing:

  • Cancel less than 8 hours before pickup:
    50% refund of deposit
  • Cancel less than 4 hours before pickup:
    No refund

This is because the driver is already assigned and availability is blocked for your trip.


4. No-Show Policy

If the passenger does not appear at the pickup location and did not inform us in advance:

No refund will be issued.

A no-show results in loss of the full deposit (if one was made).


5. Refunds for Incorrect or Duplicate Payments

If a customer makes an incorrect or duplicate payment (rare because we use cash payments):

✔ Full refund is issued immediately.

Please contact us with proof of payment.


6. Service Issues & Partial Refunds

If the service experience is affected due to something under our control, we may offer:

  • Partial refund
  • Discount on future transfer
  • Complimentary upgrade (based on availability)

These cases are reviewed individually and must be reported within 24 hours after the service.


7. Special Rules for Same-Day Return Discount

For guests traveling to Cairo, Luxor, or Aswan with same-day return:

✔ The 25% discount applies only if both trips are completed.

If the return trip is canceled or not taken:

❌ The discount becomes invalid and no refund applies.


8. How Refunds Are Sent

Refunds are processed using the same method the customer used for payment:

  • Cash refund
  • Bank transfer
  • Mobile transfer
  • Returned to card (only if card was used)

Processing time: 5–10 business days depending on payment method.
